Doctors/Specialists only know what they've been trained to do. Pharmaceuticals and surgeries. If I had listened to the Endocrinologist 10 years ago; I'd already have 10 years worth of Synthroid under my belt. You'll have to do what's right for you.

Hello Mr Kirsch,

I replied to your email, informing you of a German compounding pharmacy which produces those eye drops. They are working with an eye doctor who uses them and I took the liberty of contacting him and inquiring about the use of those drops with your condition.

from DMSO - The Persecuted Drug.

https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/73bf25b2/files/uploaded/dmso-the-persecuted-drug-cm.pdf

"The drug companies who had been doing clinical trials were reexamining patients and gathering data regarding possible eye damage. Squibb collected 3,000 cases, Merck 17,000 cases, and Syntex 7,000. No eye changes or damage or any other sign of toxicity were found. By this time, DMSO had been used in 100,000 people, and there had been no complaints of eye problems anywhere. Additionally, sufficient animal tests had been carried out to make it clear that the lens changes that had been observed were "species specific", i.e., they only occurred in dogs, rabbits, and pigs, and not in monkeys, other primates, or any other animals."

"The FDA used the bogus issue of eye damage for several decades to hold back DMSO. Dr. Walker points out that "adverse eye findings have been reported with all the arthritis drugs, such as Anaprox, Naprosyn, and Motrin (as per their package inserts) yet no one has suggested that these minimally effective drugs be taken off the market.""

It’s a very reasonable risk to try DMSO eye drops. There’s no downside and plenty of upside potential.

Ever since reading AMD on DMSO, I have tried the eye drops. All of my little black floaters have disappeared from my vision in 2 weeks. My eyes sting for about 5 minutes but I am using more than a 10% concentration. I have used DMSO for decades externally for back aches and pains. The eye and ear drops are a new and exciting application for a unique product. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens. Hope that it helps your hurt eye, Steve. Cheers!

I am sorry but I saw a big downside on dmso store** , people with vision worries often had already a cataract surgery, and DMSO dissolves plastic:

You can also apply these drops to closed eyes for the sake of proximity, being transdermal and this will not damage the lens. """""

Steve I also had a blood clot in my eye last November. I simply woke up one morning before work (I am a nurse) and couldn't see out of the left eye. I blame Covid. That said, nothing seemed to work to dissolve it (about 3 weeks with it seemingly no progress) until I started taking Spike Detox product by The Wellness Company. About a week after starting the product, I noticed vision slightly improving. I recall that vision completely back to normal - clot dissolved - in a about 3 weeks of taking medicine. The nattokinase is probably the key ingredient in its benefit to you.

Expand full comment

Lumbrokinase is much stronger in that there is more enzyme in it.

Expand full comment

Lumbrokinase is not a proteolytic enzyme.

Expand full comment

Look closely at the link you posted.

Do you believe that proteolytic and fibrinolytic are synonyms?

Expand full comment

The article states, "Lumbrokinase, serrapeptase and nattokinase are proteolytic enzymes that act as natural anticoagulants by breaking down fibrin that forms blood clots." This contradicts your comment, "Lumbrokinase is not a proteolytic enzyme." No?

Expand full comment

What about serrapeptase?

Expand full comment

It is a proteolytic enzyme.

Expand full comment

I know.

Expand full comment

I agree. Years ago I got bit by a dog. It did not break the skin, But I got phlebitis in that calf. My doctor said to take aspirin which did nothing. I had large ropey varicose veins in the leg for decades. Nattokinase not only stopped the phlebitis, but the vein went flat and never got ropey and large again. I also started using resveratrol then Serrapeptase after the phlebitis resolved because it is good at cleaning up the damage.

Expand full comment

Serrapeptase is regarded as the most potent proteolytic enzyme by most.

It also has the benefit of not being as estrogenic as nattokinase.

Resveratrol is part of a group of compounds called polyphenols, which are unrelated to proteolytic enzymes, generally regarded as antioxidants, which I avoid in preference to anti-inflammatories. The immune system uses oxidants to kill pathogens and anti-oxidants are typically non-specific, and likely to interfere.

Expand full comment

I believe Lumbrokinaise is considered the most potent proteolytic enzyme, followed by Serrapeptase, then Nattokinaise. https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2023/04/15/fibrinolytic-enzymes-for-heart-health.aspx

Expand full comment

I would be careful about serrapeptase. Several decades ago I tried it and it caused me to have a dry cough. Within the last year I tried it once or twice to see if it would help with return circulation problems in my lower legs, and it caused a sharp pain in the front of my thigh--not sure why.

More on Resveratrol: (From a query on Perplexity AI) Resveratrol has significant effects on cellular mitochondria, particularly in relation to oxygen utilization and reactive oxygen species (ROS) management:

Mitochondrial Biogenesis and Function

Resveratrol promotes mitochondrial biogenesis and enhances mitochondrial function through several mechanisms:

It activates the PGC-1α signaling pathway, which is a key regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis.

Resveratrol increases the activity of antioxidant enzymes like superoxide dismutase (SOD), enhancing the cell's ability to neutralize harmful oxygen radicals

Mitochondrial Dynamics and Quality Control

Resveratrol also influences mitochondrial dynamics and quality control mechanisms:

It enhances mitophagy, the process of removing damaged mitochondria, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy mitochondrial population

In conclusion, resveratrol significantly impacts mitochondrial function by promoting biogenesis, enhancing oxygen utilization efficiency, and improving the cell's ability to manage reactive oxygen species. These effects collectively contribute to improved mitochondrial health and cellular resilience against oxidative stress.

The nation in the spike detox helps dissolve proteins, so that sounds like a good way to start.

Just wanted to add, SPike is a TOXIN but also a protein and thus it is digestible NOT only via one or two peptidases, but many. Since Spike was designed to be heavily 'sugar coated' and fat coated applying all the possible lipases, amylases and proteases could only speed up the 'decomposition' of the fibers within the clots..

I have applied DMSO on my back, but it was 98% and it dissolved the elastic fibers in the pants I was wearing. Be careful. How about colloidal silver?

Expand full comment

I didn't say anyone was allergic to iodine. And I didn't say we don't need iodine in our diet. STOP SCREAMING WITH ALL CAPS. It makes you look hysterical. Excess iodine is involved with gluten skin auto immune response. And yes, it kills you slowly. I DID NOT SAY IODINE WILL KILL YOU. It's the autoimmune flare up that involves iodine. So if you eat a bunch of gluten and you in fact have the gluten skin rash, that is the worst time to take extra iodine. Stop twisting my words around and making assumptions. If you have the gluten auto immune response, you can take iodine, but not the same time you eat gluten. please stop jumping to conclusions and screaming in all capital letters. Also, you're uneducated in the issue. Clearly. Because if you were, you would never recommend eating iodine with gluten. People literally commit suicide from the gluten skin rash, it's that bad.

Steve - I have been using DMSO for 40 years as a college track athlete - and now in middle age. I believe a 50% solution over time will help immensely. Keep us in the loop on this amazing therapy.

Is water the best dilutant?

Expand full comment

The DMSO Store uses distilled water with Himalayan salt (to create natural saline). Distilled water is used because DMSO is a carrier, and can bring and deposit impurities and toxins into the body. Filtered water that is then distilled would be best.

Expand full comment

Water is an equally potent solvent.

What benefit does salinity bring?

Expand full comment

Yes the right type of water could work. 4th phase water. It is the universal solvent after all.

Expand full comment

Where does water exist as a plasma?

Expand full comment

adding salt makes the solution isotonic to the fluid in the body/mucosal surfaces

Nothing is more isotonic than water.

Salinity is only helpful intravenously where large volumes of water would upset the blood's balance.

Steve, you may want to call Amandha Volmer, the naturopathic doc who formulates these DMSO wonderful products, she has impressive experience in using it on difficult cases. For your complete peace of mind.

Also, her book on DMSO answers most of your questions,I think.

The microsomal EDTA,from Dr Group and Dr Ardis, is another option to look into. I would also get one or more EDTA IV’s, ,if I was you, with a seasoned chelation doctor.

With all that,I would maybe use thiosinaminum, powerful homeopathic treatment for pushing out the debris from the body but this also should be monitored by an experienced homeopath, mostly if you have dental filings, other prosthetics , because it removes them, if used unwisely.

Omega 3 with high DHA is the best food for our eyes. Look into Dr Martin’s clinic omega 3, DHA upgraded contains2700mg DHA versus 300mg EPA for 2 soft gels.

And bone broth, from grass fed, organic bones, alternating chicken and beef- bioavalable collagen and finest electrolytes together in a cup or two, daily…

All mentioned above,I’ve used them and continue to use, with great benefits. Age is just a number indeed if you turn your back to pharma merchandise as much as possible.

Be well soon!

Expand full comment

As a homeopath I’d like to comment that Thiosinaminum is more often used to dissolve scar tissue and Silicea is more likely to push out debris. That being said, no matter what the condition is, the best approach is to take a thorough homeopathic case with a professional homeopath and choose the remedy that fits the unique symptoms of the patient.

I’ve also looked at the fact that most of ‘chelated’ EDTA people lived long, healthy and sane lives. Also know a few of them personally. I would not use DMPS ever, by the way. I prefer doctor’s formulations for EDTA home use and lately I get microsomal -sort of glycerite one with no hassle at all. Great benefits, doing on-off cycling.

Prof. Stanley Omaye at UNR once told me that mercury contamination in the environment could be safely treated with selenium, since it binds strongly to mercury and then mercury is no longer bioavailable. But the EPA opposed that proposal, stating that one could not use another ‘contaminant’ (i.e., selenium) to treat a contamination! I wonder if by supplementing selenium it would bind to mercury in the body. I am using selenium supplements.

From my experience with both Calcium Edta and selenium-3 pieces Brazil nuts daily plus what amounts is in my AOR multivitamin and minerals I take -I think it’s a keeper. Great for men too.

And maybe look into Pueraria Mirifica for men.

Steve, I have tried this one also. SUN STAR MSM LIQUID DROPS 4%, 5% & 15%

Ingredients: MSM (Methylsylfonylmethane), Saline Solution (natural sea salt & purified water).

MSM Liquid Drops are gentle, soothing, lasting, and all natural. MSM Liquid Drops soften the membrane permitting fluids to pass through the cells and tissue.

MSM is a special biological sulfur needed by the body to maintain youthful, healthy connective tissue, protein and pH levels.

MSM Liquid Drops are safe for all topological uses. Sterile and nontoxic, MSM Drops contain no chemicals to irritate your skin.

The outer tissue normally allows fluids to flow through the membrane wall, which acts like a filter supplying nutrition and cleaning out particles keeping your epidermis clear so your veins work well. When the membranes become tough like leather, the fluids are trapped and the particles start to build up.

https://sunstarorganics.com/sso-msm-drops.aspx

MSM is closely related to DMSO. When DMSO is oxidized, for example cleaning up oxidative stress in your body, it is converted to MSM. Some treatments will combine DMSO with hydrogen peroxide, creating MSM.

If DMSO is reduced instead of oxidized, it makes the rotten egg, spoiled milk smell your friend and relatives are sure to love.

MMS = ‘Miracle Mineral Supplement’, terrible naming but close to a miracle. This is chlorine dioxide. I am using it for at least 15 years, also added it to eye drops when I had a stye form in 2020. I also had a sudden onset of floaters in my affected eye, those are still there. The stye opened up and puss came out and then healed. Not sure if the chlorine dioxide helped but it is known to have a strong sterilizing effect.

Same here—I have used it as a preventative for over ten years now. I have never been sick, and if I am, it is hardly for more than 48 hours. I am experimenting a lot with DMSO atm, which is equally powerful and miraculous in healing and improving an extensive range of ailments. I am genuinely blown away by it. The two combined, we are covered for almost everything, from burns to cancer and most stuff in the middle.

I would stock up on DMSO before they come for it. I just bought a litre; I'm getting 5 l now. The only problem is the expiry date.

My third health weapon (apart from the basics—whole foods, sun, fresh air, moderate exercise, spiritual practice, and a small circle of meaningful social contacts) is regular detoxing because it is mostly the accumulation of waste in our bodies, in one form or another, that kills us and makes us sick. There are several good detoxing methods, and great books have been written about them, but I love coffee enemas, and they work for me.

Oh, and I respond really well to a small dose of daily aspirin (100).

TOPICALLY

I use DMSO (99.99%) for dissolving blot clots applied topically on the lower legs (70% DMSO / 30% Distilled water, stored in a glass bottle).

ORALLY

I also take it orally. 1 table spoon in a glass of water, or, grape juice (10 ml of 70% DMSO ENHANCES the taste of the grape juice while at ~15 ml you will start to feel the taste of DMSO). I take this for preventing further blood clots.

SMELL

If used only topically on the eyes, there's probably not going to produce much smell.

Also, the smell of the DMSO itself is not the issue, instead the smell is produced by the metabolism in the body. But in my case, after 2 weeks of use (as described above), the metabolism seems to have "gotten used to" DMSO and most of the smell is now gone.

SMELL REDUCED BY HONEY(!)

If after some time the smell produced is still less than pleasant, mix the DMSO solution with honey. I've tried adding 1/6 volume of honey to the 70% DMSO for topical use and the same for oral use. After that, no complaints by the other people in the household... ;-)

EU - GERMAN BRAND

I use DMSO from Naturverlesen. https://www.naturverlesen.de/DMSO-/-CDL. In the USE you probably have other brands with the same quality.

ALLERGY

In my case my skin did not tolerate 50% DMSO, but after the strategies mentioned here, after three weeks I now use 70% flat on.

A good strategy IF there's a initial reaction on the skin from using DMSO, is to keep applying it topically on the arm (with honey) for 2 weeks. The body may well adapt and gradually accept the DMSO. This is also why it's advisable to start with lower concentrations (on skin, start with 50%) and if skin gets irritated, mix with honey, and gradually increase strength.

EYES

I haven't tried on the eyes (although I have some problems for which I might try DMSO) but after making sure there's no allergy, I wouldn't hesitate put it in the eyes. That's my own "next step" even after the initial reactions I've had.

You do realize that "9 CH" denotes a concentration, where the preparation is devoid of the mentioned ingredient?

Yes, I am familiar with dilutions in homeopathy.

I am not quite sure what was your question?

About Heparum, it may be successfully used in 6, 9, 30 and 200 CH, each for different type of infections. Joette Calabrese, seasoned homeopath, has some interesting suggestions about its use, on her website.

I've read where DMSO can break down and produce the smelly dimethyl sulfide at a small amount that emits the garlicky smell from mouth and body. So, even if you buy the 99.995% pure DMSO, it still can produce the DMS which emits the odor.

which brand is odorless?

Heiltropfen

DMSO doesn’t have an odor. It’s after you have consumed it that it gives you an odor.

anything one that is 99.98%+ and stored in a glass bottle from a reputable brand would be the best option.

Heltropfin

dmso store

brand called : DMSO (red label)

Garchem

all good and there are others too

or if you are looking for 20-70% pre-diluted form, make sure the description states its 99.98%+ dmso dilution

DMSO itself doesn't smell very much, if at all.

The smell comes from the body metabolizing it, producing the smell.

Therefore the amount of smell also differs from person to person, and it seems it gradually decreases with use.

Mixing the DMSO with honey makes a HUGE difference in reducing the smell to almost non-existant.

DMSO ( New Root Herbal)

According to the information that I have found, DMSO is very good for heavy metal detoxification :

¨As a source of sulfur, DMSO aids in heavy metal detoxification. Sulfur binds with toxic heavy metals (mercury, lead, aluminum, cadmium, arsenic, nickel) and eliminates them via urination, defecation and sweating.¨ https://vitasave.ca/blogs/news/miracle-healing-power-dmso

I bought the 40% but the first time that you use it, it burns a lot. It is better to start with a less concentrated solution.

Reminder: the burning lasts for about 20-30 seconds. Totally tolerable at the 40% DMSO level.

How does DMSO help with eye conditions and what studies support this?

Dr. Robert Hill's pioneering studies demonstrated DMSO's effectiveness in treating various eye conditions, particularly retinitis pigmentosa. In a study of 50 patients with either retinitis pigmentosa or macular degeneration, 22 showed improved visual acuity, nine had improved visual fields, and five showed improvement in dark adaptation. Only two patients continued to deteriorate, while the remainder maintained stable condition.

The treatment protocol typically involves using a 40% DMSO solution applied directly to the eye. Despite initial concerns about potential toxicity to the eyes based on animal studies, human applications have proven both safe and effective. Many patients with various eye conditions, from macular degeneration to general vision problems, have reported significant improvement with regular DMSO treatment.

DMSO can be administered through multiple routes depending on the condition being treated and the urgency of the situation. The most common methods include topical application directly to the skin, oral consumption mixed with juice or water, intravenous administration via slow drip, and intramuscular injection. For specific conditions like eye problems or dental issues, it can also be applied as drops

Steve, do you or your medical team hypothesize that intake of proteolytic enzymes caused this SRH in your eye?

DMSO has been known to improve vision and when rubbed on aching arthritic knees etc. relieves pain by reducing inflammation!

Had a detached retina from a fall from a Seizure and was given surgery which inserted an ocular lens a year or so afterwards. I wasn’t aware that the surgery consisted of this. Ten years later, I am now suffering from high pressure in my right eye called Glaucoma. I do not have nor have I ever been treated for high blood pressure. The Seizure medication is another story. Can I utilize the DMSO to address this problem? If so, where can I purchase it.

Hi, very interesting to read your story. I have psoriasis and I want to try this. What is the brand that you are using? Thank you for posting this.

Steve, I've been following your eye story with great interest and will share a couple of thoughts. I've been following A Midwestern Doctor, too, and based on his posts and several books I've reviewed, I've been using DMSO for the past couple of months. It is a game changer. I'm 60 years old and feel better than I have in many years. Less pain, more energy, less depression, more mental clarity, better vision (far/near and day/night) and better hearing! My knees, feet, hips and shoulders and lower back now move more freely with less pain and fatigue. It is, in a word: remarkable. There will be people who will doubt this, and I honestly cannot fault you- I can hardly believe it either. To that end, I would recommend 70% DMSO from Jacob Lab. This is great quality and run by family of Dr. Stanley Jacobs, who devoted a lifetime of research into DMSO. I mix the 70% DMSO with equal parts unpreserved sterile saline available from 5ml single-use packages to yield 10ml of a 35% DMSO solution. This goes into a sterilized (boiled in filtered RO water/dried) bottle with a calibrated eye dropper. I put a couple of drops in my eyes twice a day. It will mildly sting for 15-20 seconds, and then quickly go away. I use the drops for a few days and then discard any remaining contents and re-sterilize and mix a new batch to keep things clean. I could almost immediately tell that my eyesight was improving- I now have no more floaters or flashes! If your skin is clean, dab around the eyelid and temple with 70% DMSO and a clean cotton ball or pad. It also does wonders for headaches and will also help the eye feel refreshed. I mix a teaspoon of DMSO in a couple ounces of filtered (RO) water and drink it down each morning. It does not taste great, but it is tolerable. Some people drink it with juice, but the RO water is easy and not bad. You may want to try the eye drops, topical and oral dosages out and ramp up to this over a couple of weeks and continue for a few more weeks and see the results. By all indications, it has not give me any issues, although my wife says there is a mild odor in my breath. There are not toxicity issues as DMSO is seven times less toxic than aspirin. If I had been diagnosed with your condition, I would not hesitate to try DMSO as there is not much risk or downside and there are many things that DMSO could potentially improve- if it didn't work for some reason, there is always the traditional route. Thanks for letting me share my experiences with this remarkable organosulfur compound.

My 85 year old mother has macular degeneration and can barely see. I am considering a saline/DMSO 10% solution (2x daily) for her. She is in a Skilled Nursing Home and in a wheelchair, has a brain shunt due to excess to fluid in her brain. Her diagnosis is complicated, but basically Alzheimers/Dimentia and the thing she received in 2021. It's horrible. What do we have to lose? I'm also considering application of a 45% DMSO Gel to the bottom of her feet to see if there is any improvement in her symptoms overall, including a recently frozen ankle. I'm sure she would benefit from oral ingestion, but I'll have to more research.

My 87 year old father has a VERY bad knee, limiting his usual mobility. I treated him with 90% DMSO Gel the first time for 20 minutes. It was a bit uncomfortable for him, but within a couple of hours his pain level went from a 6-7 to a 2-3. We are continuing the treatment at 45% DMSO Gel and his pain level is holding around 2-3.

Finally, I'm using it on a 2 year old small scar that had a slight indentation and hard spot in the center. It has both softened and smoothed out with 2 applications in 4 days. I'm using red light therapy on it too, and will continue this application.

DMSO is amazingly safe and surprisingly effective. Sure wish this wasn't hidden from us for so long.

If you read the website most of these issues are addressed esp dilution. Sounds like you chemists don't need the information but thank you for so much detailed input. Allopathic medicine has no treatments for these problems. They seem relatively simply "cured."

Unfortunately allopathic medicine does not cure, as curative is seen as a conflict to fiscal interests.
