I am sorry but I saw a big downside on dmso store** , people with vision worries often had already a cataract surgery, and DMSO dissolves plastic:

** """""*DO NOT USE ON A FALSE LENS (if you have had cataract surgery, take DMSO internally instead).

You can also apply these drops to closed eyes for the sake of proximity, being transdermal and this will not damage the lens. """""

DMSO and plastic lens after cataract surgery

Some lenses are made of acrylic. Here is a link saying it affects acrylic:

What is the evidence for this please? I have IOL lenses (cataract surgery) and wish to try this for persisting visual acuity problems but am now concerned.
