I don't even hear this from the establishment. They wrote articles about long COVID early in the pandemic before the vaccines came out just to get you scared and hyped up to get the vaccine when it does come out, but don't really want to talk about it anymore because then they would inevitably have to bring up the vaccine's role in causing it. The vaccine has at best shown only very slight efficacy at preventing long COVID. Some have experienced relief from symptoms after taking it, others have experienced a worsening of symptoms.
And the virus is definitely real, I know because I got sick with very strange symptoms including sense of smell loss that wasn't just caused by having my nose stuffed with boogers at the same time my aunt and her friend did, and I almost NEVER get sick. I know it wasn't the flu because I NEVER get the flu. And it wasn't an ordinary cold either because it had a strange flavor. It felt almost more like a simulation of an illness than an actual illness, or like I was on Zoloft or something. I was weirdly ok with being sick, optimistic that I would get better, and I slept very well. I tasted that strange COVID flavor again a few weeks ago after I had been visiting my college campus which is full of vaccinated Typhoid Marys trying to get enrolled again but this time the only symptoms were sleeping for 12 hours a night and mild dysphagia (it doesn't go all the way down when I swallow unless I try really hard)
So is the notion of panic attacks but that doesn't stop me from getting them. Supposedly it's similar to fibromyalgia or Lyme disease.
