As someone who has worked towards what I consider "left" causes for 35 years (opposing war and militarism, drug peace, civilian oversight over police abuse, guaranteed health care, education, and employment), I don't know why people refer to the Democratic Party is the "left." Most of them are woke-signaling, corporate centrists.
I've always been in terms of foreign policy and social policy far to the left of mainstream Democrats on basic issues like poverty and war and the environment. However, I've always supported the Democratic Party's position regarding a woman's right to determine her own healthcare, as in each woman's individual right to make her own decision regarding "abortion." So it is rather stunning to me to see this supposedly "liberal" segment of the political spectrum, the one that says a woman should have the right to make her own medical decisions about abortion - become what appears to be the loudest most irrational advocate for completely doing away with EVERYONE'S individual medical autonomy by pushing the totalitarian vaccine mandates. The brain-dead hypocrisy involved in all of this is rather breath-taking.

I'm old enough to know that liberals were concerned about people over corporations. I knew such people but over the past 10-20 years something has changed that I cannot explain. I think that, more likely than not, congressional Democrats have always been fake. When people on the left used to stand on principle that didn't matter so much. Now we have you describe. What happened?

A friend had something similar happen many years ago and a couple of months later developed Crohn’s disease. She was given all sorts of State Dept recommended vaccines for Asia including the plague.
Politics in the USA is nothing more than grand theater, smoke and mirrors, like the wizard of OZ, there is some group hiding behind the curtain pulling the levers. Heading into the republican convention of 2016, after Trump had waged a successful campaign, he fired his campaign staff and surrounded himself with Trilateral Commission members. These people are the definition of the deep state. The question is why fire a successful campaign staff?? For more than 6 decades every director of NSA and CIA have been Trilateral members. Why? Trump took over the White House, the Republicans controlled both houses of Congress and the direction the nation took did not change one bit. The same group of people, talking about their affiliations, held every major cabinet position, which has been the case for decades.
Imagine two rouge, very powerful state funded spying agencies, controlled by the very elite, what will they do? They will gain influence and power through their surveillance activities. they gather exploitable information on Congressional members, judges, any person in a position of power or influence, making them their puppets, they pull the levers of power behind the curtain.
I worked for NSA back in the 1970s, I was a "special missions" operative, which means that I gathered intell in person, 1st hand things, a witness to events. My specialty was missiles. I never witnessed what I would call a successful Soviet missile test. That is unless you call the missile clearing the launch pad a success. The safest place to be was the target. I was handed a report in 1974 at the end of the year, from NSA to the US Senate Armed Forces Appropriation Committee concerning Soviet missiles. Expecting to see similar results in the report to what I had risked my life to gather, I was surprised to see only 3 unsuccessful tests out of 87 total that had been witnessed by special mission operations. I witnessed a total of 7 tests during the time frame of the report, and none of them were successful. So I had to ask myself why the fabrication? The only answer was, if the truth be told the military industrial complex would not get fed. Eisenhower warned us about them, Kennedy warned us and lost his life.
So to wonder about Republican leaders, they have been made offers that they cannot refuse.

It's really bad that Covid 19 death UNDER-reporting is trending now on Twitter. It's just like the stories that came out a few weeks ago trying to hide the sudden rise in athletes dropping (dead) of coronary issues. The vax cause must be hidden, both for athletes and all deaths. Covid deaths may drop with Omicron, but the vaccines will cause more deaths. which the tyrants will use to impose more and longer restrictions and mandates.
