I trust the CCP's stories more than most other governments; they are very transparent about their plans- world domination, re-annexation of Taiwan, and ownership of the South China Sea. On the other hand, their economic data are difficult to believe or use to guide investment. They may have planted a failure mode with the historic one-child policy.
