He is now in his teens and if he sticks to a rigid diet and supplement regime he’s ok. This was early 2000’s. I spent many years treating autistic kids in my own capacity and it was utterly shocking. It feels like the tide of public sentiment is starting to turn ever so slightly, at least in those who are willing to question and reevaluate their long-held belief systems. Over the last few years of helping various family members navigate the healthcare system, I have come to learn that common decency, kindness, etc. are not so common, so it makes your work and care all the more extraordinary. 🙏
