Maybe it's me. But there is a surprising dearth of recovery video coming out of Maui. I would expect a lot more reporting about logistics delivery and help being provided to the locals. I haven't seen a reporter on a C17, loaded with tons of food and recovery equipment. No interviews with military support personnel on the ground. Local citizen reporters could carry their message to independent podcasters. Joe Rogan would have them and their stories on the air. Nor have I seen the HI/NG. Those weapons are widely believed not to be able to target the color blue and in much of the available footage many of the surviving structures and vehicles appear to be blue.
It’s impossible for the average person to wade through the stories and determine fact from fiction. It’s impossible to know who is lying to protect themselves or who is lying for their five minutes of fame or who is telling an uncomfortable truth. Every individual incident can be explained away and there’s no reason that all of those individual explanations can’t be true, but that’s an awful lot of coincidence. In older times that number of coincidences would be ascribed to the wrath of a deity.
I don’t think there’s a single smoking gun, but I do think there’s a lot of circumstantial evidence that points to the possibility of direct energy weapons being involved. The US government has a long and glorious history trying out new weapons against indigenous people and minorities (nuclear testing on reservations, the Tuskegee experiments etc) so the precedent is there. Maybe this is nothing more than a case of good old fashioned government ineptitude, or maybe the ancients were right and this was some form of divine judgement, or maybe this was a wildfire caused by an electrical line that was allowed to get out of control by a few key people who saw the possibility for major financial gain, or maybe it was a testing of a weapon by the US military. I think it’s too early to take any of these possibilities off the table. If so, did firefighters prioritize expensive homes over less expensive homes? Did the home owners have metal roofs, stone facades, less close vegetation, or take greater measures to save their homes? I have heard expensive homes did burn down. I have also heard that some people were able to save their less expensive wooden homes with garden hoses.

How it came to be known: People were being boiled alive.
To me, the situation looks like a hurricane to the south, creating a weather pattern that exacerbated high winds coming from the north (these high wind patterns are not unusual by themselves), causing downed power lines and creating wildfires fueled by 90+ mph winds and very dry conditions. The disaster preparedness was horrible and the local officials had advanced warning how bad their disaster system was, but the wildfire itself was also an extreme event. I would need a thorough investigator I trusted or more information than is currently given before I would assume it was a conspiracy (admittedly, I have not studied it well). Time will tell what happens to the people from this point.

How can a thorough investigator you trust bring you said evidence when such people are either not allowed in or are being kept from getting answers? Incompetence is generally my go to response and the fact that this is a Democrat run state and a Democrat run city/town makes that even more understandable. But to me there is entirely too much supposed coincidence and incompetence going around and just like with the Vegas shooting we are never going to get any real answers or follow up. In two months the media will move on to something else. There’s not going to be any major one year later update that discusses how many people were able to start rebuilding versus how many people had to sell and move away. There isn’t going to be some sort of five years later update so we know what the outcome is for the community. The only way we will ever know what happens in the aftermath is if a 15 minute city really is built on the spot. By then they will have some spin on it, the cost of rebuilding on the island is too hard for the poor and middle class families but this fifteen minute city can include subsidized housing for those who lost everything in the fire. It’s an act of philanthropy you see.
For me it’s much like the Covid response, my initial instinct is that the issue is incompetence. But if it’s just incompetence at least some of the actions should have been appropriate. I noticed the electric cars. Lithium burns very hot; if a regular fire ignites an electric vehicle it looks like that's going to melt it for sure.

It’s impossible for the average person to wade through the stories and determine fact from fiction. It’s impossible to know who is lying to protect themselves or who is lying for their five minutes of fame or who is telling an uncomfortable truth. Every individual incident can be explained away and there’s no reason that all of those individual explanations can’t be true, but that’s an awful lot of coincidence. In older times that number of coincidences would be ascribed to the wrath of a deity.
I don’t think there’s a single smoking gun, but I do think there’s a lot of circumstantial evidence that points to the possibility of direct energy weapons being involved. The US government has a long and glorious history trying out new weapons against indigenous people and minorities (nuclear testing on reservations, the Tuskegee experiments etc) so the precedent is there. Maybe this is nothing more than a case of good old fashioned government ineptitude, or maybe the ancients were right and this was some form of divine judgement, or maybe this was a wildfire caused by an electrical line that was allowed to get out of control by a few key people who saw the possibility for major financial gain, or maybe it was a testing of a weapon by the US military. I think it’s too early to take any of these possibilities off the table. But if your idea of “evidence” is a whistle blower or official document stating that this was a weapons test I think that’s an unreasonable standard of evidence.
I agree we should be open-minded and not jump to conclusions, but is your evidence really evidence? It sounds to me like there are a lot of assumptions.

I suppose it is possible, but perhaps it was an evolving situation where they had imperfect information, were hearing multiple stories, and generally were in a fog of knowing exactly what was going on... they errored on the side of not being able to be blamed for a creating panic that could lead to injury or death, including children, by people fleeing to areas with ancillary fires, possible gas leaks, or downed electrical power lines.
"The fire hydrants didn't work and disaster preparedness was insufficient." As you stated, this had been evaluated and the report said the infrastructure needed to be upgraded. This is not uncommon in the USA. Obviously, their preparedness was insufficient.
"The fire stopped at the wealthier property lines." What percentage of expensive homes were spared compared to the low priced homes? What was the relation of the neighborhoods spared to the pattern the fire burned in? Were spared neighborhoods closer to working fire fighting? If so, did firefighters prioritize expensive homes over less expensive homes? Did the home owners have metal roofs, stone facades, less close vegetation, or take greater measures to save their homes? I have heard expensive homes did burn down. I have also heard that some people were able to save their less expensive wooden homes with garden hoses.
"People were getting calls the same day of the fire to buy their homes." Okay, but if the fire were completely natural this would occur anyway. Disaster capitalism is sad but true.
"People were supposedly boiled in the ocean." If this were true, then yes this was some sort of attack or at least some natural anomaly I have never heard of. But - supposedly? This needs verification before being added to any "body of evidence." I would say that lies, rumors, and high octane misinterpretations make it half way around the world before the truth even begins to get its shoe's on, e.g. How it might have happened: people with burns and inflamed skin fled to the oceans for safety and the heat from the fire offshore was razing. How it came to be known: People were being boiled alive.
To me, the situation looks like a hurricane to the south, creating a weather pattern that exacerbated high winds coming from the north (these high wind patterns are not unusual by themselves), causing downed power lines and creating wildfires fueled by 90+ mph winds and very dry conditions. The disaster preparedness was horrible and the local officials had advanced warning how bad their disaster system was, but the wildfire itself was also an extreme event. I would need a thorough investigator I trusted or more information than is currently given before I would assume it was a conspiracy (admittedly, I have not studied it well). Time will tell what happens to the people from this point.

I notice that you didn’t answer my original question which is what evidence would you require? How can a thorough investigator you trust bring you said evidence when such people are either not allowed in or are being kept from getting answers? Unless the federal government is your idea of a trusted investigator.
Incompetence is generally my go to response and the fact that this is a Democrat run state and a Democrat run city/town makes that even more understandable. But to me there is entirely too much supposed coincidence and incompetence going around and just like with the Vegas shooting we are never going to get any real answers or follow up. In two months the media will move on to something else. There’s not going to be any major one year later update that discusses how many people were able to start rebuilding versus how many people had to sell and move away. There isn’t going to be some sort of five years later update so we know what the outcome is for the community. The only way we will ever know what happens in the aftermath is if a 15 minute city really is built on the spot. By then they will have some spin on it, the cost of rebuilding on the island is too hard for the poor and middle class families but this fifteen minute city can include subsidized housing for those who lost everything in the fire. It’s an act of philanthropy you see.
For me it’s much like the Covid response, my initial instinct is that the issue is incompetence. But if it’s just incompetence at least some of the actions should have been appropriate. The fact that every single decision made was the worst possible decision and the fact that our government has a long and glorious history of doing terrible things and lying about it pushes me away from incompetence and into evil as a reason for these actions.
