I am 63. My brother is 62. We have both led healthy, active lives, despite some bad habits in our youth. We have gone skiing together many times, ever since our parents taught us to ski when we were little boys in the 60s. I smelled a rat from the beginning of the hype, and when the jab was rolled out, he jumped on the bandwagon and asked me if I had made my appointment. I told him there wasn’t a snowball’s chance in hell I would take it. He angrily predicted I’d be dead in a year and said he’d miss me. I know he got at least one booster. He made sure we all knew. Today I remain healthy and he is chronically depressed, sleeps 14 hours a day, and gets frequent headaches. He thinks it’s “long covid” despite the fact that he tests negative. I am not angry with him. I am heartbroken. Obviously, he won’t be skiing this winter.
