Good point, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't fight to keep the protections we currently have, i.e. we have to do this AND MORE (in case the implication of your comment was "there's no point in doing anything".

By the way, the US Constitution is wonderful in this regard, but that also hasn't really done much or anything to protect the rights of US citizens against the pandemic restrictions these last 2 years - but I doubt many of the US readers here would take that to mean they shouldn't do anything if Biden brought in a consultation to dilute say the First Amendment!

I'm not saying there's no point in doing anything but questioning what benefits the Human Rights Act has brought us, when the vibe has clearly been "Well it is a public health 'emergency' so the 'greater good' must take precedence over individuals."
