Howdy Dennis,

Being VA, I directly take it that 'You Served' Sir. As such recall how horribly 'Green' the LT's are fresh from OCS or the Academies, yes?

Just so...

Unfortunately, that exact circumstance applies at an even higher level of magnitude in the Medical community. Essentially, most of the graduates of the various institutions churning out new graduates firmly fix the nascent 'God Complex' in place via thier training, which later goes Full Tilt as is seen almost anywhere you look these days.

Try contradicting a Dr - ANY Dr - and witness just how pervasive that trait is, eh?

Oh...it won't be 'pretty' if you DO, believe me.

Keep on doing your Frank Sinatra, "I did it my way" approach, it'll keep you alive and hale a while LOT longer than actually complying.

Be Well, Safe and Blessed Sir,

JOG

You have quite a background and probably an IQ that is higher than lots of doctors, but doctors dislike those vets who think. What the docs don't know is that most of the mentally "slow" vets feel and understand.

I started in the USMC which treated young men (boys like me) like trash and years later went into the Army when I had a trade.

On my next visit to both my primary doctor and a day later to their pain clinic I will be patient and explain even better how I live- most days like a totally stiff, aching legs and all of spine, and more , and will tell them how it is going to go for me. So I will see the reaction. They don't like the idea of me going to an outside pain clinic but I have heard how some are doing very well given the right meds.

I walked out of a computer session after a few minutes and I guess they were upset only because it might reflect poorly on the doctor. I prefer to see people in person.

I have not encountered a doc who has ever asked or given a damn about what went on when I was in the military so I say almost nothing.

Thanks for your advice. For the first time in a few years I am going on the offensive and I will look out for myself.

I see the god complex at times and brush it off. The worst was an ER doctor.

When we are right and want to live without so many problems every day it will be easy for me to tell them What I plan.

Your note on the shots and what they could do is good. I refused the jabs.
