I remember 'pox parties' as a kid. Seemed very normal. As was eating dirt and all the other things that made your immune system work. I figured it was like a muscle, the less you used it, the weaker it got. A lifestyle choice that lost me my job and almost everything else. 🤷

My chickenpox party was called grabbing the wrong lunch sack in first grade. How odd; my mother had never put chopped celery in my tuna fish sandwich before! I was my sisters' party. (Did inadvertently attend a measles party.)
