Yes Minister was a comedy series, not a documentary. This is a serious issue we are discussing, but please don’t lose your sense of humour.

I am aware it was considered a comedy series. The fact that that type of behavior would be considered comedic and not openly pathological, which it clearly is, constitutes a self-criticism of Britain that the British were unable to perceive at the time.

Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister are brilliant.

I watched them in the late 80's. Twice.

They, lik70/se other shows following, tell it like it is. It becomes palatable because they are comedies. But they tell it like it is nonetheless.

In the Thick of it is another.

And Veep here in the US.

Many movies have showed us how it's done, but I guess because it is entertainment people do not take it seriously.

The Parallex View from the 70's is chilling and absolutely right on.
