We are supposed to be the government. We are a country of immigrants who came to be free except for Natives which is a sad history. So everyone came thinking the government would protect our liberties. Over the centuries we trusted those we elected thinking they thought as we did. But we were wrong. Most people didn’t do their research and homework and even people like in my family who do research it’s on sites lying to them, brainwashing them. We now have leaders who are only in the job for money and power , who are so glib in their speech and who deceive us. And we have been political pawns. I used to think that was only in Banana Republics. But we are used and thrown away. Congress misuses, abuses our tax money. It has a slush fund for the affairs they have. They sex traffic and keep the border open. I can’t predict our trajectory but I pray it will be good.
