What the heck, Steve?! Your statement makes no sense: "If autism is not caused by vaccines, the reported rates of autism should be proportional to the number of doses of the vaccine". I'm working hard to wrap my mind around this one. In my mind, if autism (or any other condition) is not caused by the vaccines, the reported rates of autism/condition should not be correlated *at all* with any number of doses of any vaccine, right? I think a bit of clarification and perhaps a change in wording would go a long way, the above statement sounds a little absurd and makes this article lose a lot of credibility.
How do you get out of having doctors vaccinate your baby without your consent? Now I'm paranoid about this process being started when I'm still "out of it" from the process of giving birth. I live in a rural area and don't plan on using daycare services, so it's unlikely that my future kids would have the high exposure to disease that kids in more densely populated areas would. Are there midwives who are against over-vaccinating or anything like that?

Maybe with a change in Administration we may see some changes in 2024. Biden has got to go. Thank God my grandkids (12 & 8) didn’t get the COVID shot. My son stood firm and told their mother (a nurse) that they were not getting that experiment. My son (45) & daughter (31) didn’t get it either.
I am hoping the reviewers would raise concerns about the data integrity and the logic behind the conclusions. The author could then respond and make revisions or not. I couldn’t get much confidence in the results from what was provided in the article.

However, it is true that autistic girls have been greatly under-diagnosed because they figure out how to "act normal" much better than autistic boys do. They often aren't diagnosed until the teenage years, including the late teenage years. I think increased awareness of autism in teenage girls, leading to increased assessment and diagnosis, could explain at least some of the recent big increase in autism diagnoses in age group 16-19.
Do separate searches/graphs for male and female patients and see what you get.
Your #1 is confusing. "In 2011, the CDC introduced the 16th vaccine, the Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) vaccine, as part of the routine childhood immunization schedule."
I agree with you completely about vaccines cause autism; just confused about the #1 statement. Perhaps you are meaning a different manufacturer for the vaccine?
Mr Kirsch, I'm glad to see you say in your reasoning that the counts of autism incidence should be proportional to the vaccine dosages, because they do depend on that if autism is independent variable from type of vaccine. But the counts are also proportional to the total number of people they were administered, not just proportional to dosages. I didn't see you normalize for that. So if MMR was given to 1000x more kids than say IPV vaccine, and they were both not causing autism (autism and type of vaccine were independent variables), you'd expect the count to be proportinal to the MMR_dosages x 1000 for the MMR vaccine and IPV_dosages x 1 for the IPV vaccine. There's no mention in your analysis of the relative frequencies/popularities of vaccination , so that you normalize for that.
How could autism rates be explained by other than vaccines? Coincidence Theory! As brilliantly explained by Daniel Natal in his video essay on the New American. Y'know, the theory that's replacing pattern and correlation recognition concepts underlying all that "old science" stuff. Solutions for problems in coincidence theory trend toward finding an active volcano and tossing a few virgins into it.....

To my memory, and according to https://www.chop.edu/centers-programs/vaccine-education-center/vaccine-history/developments-by-year "The vaccine for Haemophilus influenzae type b was licensed in 1985 and placed on the recommended schedule in 1989. When the schedule was published again in 1994, the hepatitis B vaccine had been added."
