Actually I do not want to see the VA abolished. I want it to work and be successful.
At least if there is VA health care that is available, there is a fixed budget. I would be afraid that if all of us were pushed out into the community the funding would dry up over the years. You know how Congress is...funding pork projects while underfunding needed projects.
The VA should expand the ability of veterans to receive health care in the community, especially for rural veterans or those who live too far from a main VA hospital or VA clinic.
The VA has done some very good work with treating traumatic brain injury and prosthetics.
The Secretary of Veterans Affairs forced VA employees to take the covid shot. He is an Obama holdover and not even a veteran. How stupid is that?
They have expanded VA coverage. Got this in my email yesterday.
"Veterans who deployed to a combat zone, never enrolled in VA health care and left the military between Sept. 11, 2001, and Oct. 1, 2013, are eligible to enroll directly in VA health care through the PACT Act. This special enrollment period ends at 11:59 p.m. local time on Sept. 30, 2023"
I don't trust doctors and I have even less trust for VA doctors.
VA still offering covid shots to veterans.
"giving veterans one more chance to die for their country"
Not sick--evil!

I was in for 23 years and retired.
Sad what the military has turned into. Woke and weak and our enemies are watching.
US Navy is more concerned about what pronouns to use rather than navigation and basic seamanship.
I loved being in the military...sad that it has gone downhill with the woke Pentagon.
The surrender of Afghanistan, with 13 dead at Abbey Gate, affected all of us.
Thank you.
Obama did so much damage to the military...on purpose.
Prayers for you son and the rest of his time in the military.
