Yaya, thank you for sharing this good quantitative data! Many eyes are on Israel since you are out in front of the rest of the world with respect to vaccines. Keep it coming!

In English via Google Translate:

Data revealed: How many corona patients are defined but hospitalized for other problems?

Yolan Cohen | Savings Plan | Posted 16/01/22 19:19

We checked all the major hospitals - how many of the patients classified as blue in Corona came to the hospital for another reason? The figure, which was considered critical in dealing with the virus, is now becoming clear.

The main measure in the health system and outside it, in the government, is the number of people hospitalized in the corona wards: the number of corona patients in hospitals - both severe and moderate and mild. But tonight (Sunday) we published for the first time in the "Savings Plan" the full data: some of them came as a result of Corona and some were hospitalized due to other medical problems other than Corona, and were simultaneously discovered to be blue in the virus. Ichilov Hospital has 86 patients, of whom 67 were hospitalized due to another medical problem and were found to be blue.

Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem has 100 patients, and an estimated 50 were hospitalized due to another medical problem and were found to be blue. Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital has 76 patients, of whom 35 were hospitalized for another reason.

At Rambam Hospital in Haifa, 48 patients are hospitalized and an estimated half of them - 24 - were hospitalized due to another medical issue and were found to be blue. At Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital there are 120 hospitalized, of whom 40 were hospitalized due to another medical problem and were diagnosed with blue.

Back to the center of the country. Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital currently has 120 patients. Of these, 40 were hospitalized due to another medical problem and were found to be blue.

76 of Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center are hospitalized - 35 of them were also hospitalized due to another medical problem and turned out to be blue.

Although the corona exacerbates the condition of some of the patients, a look at the data revealed tonight for the first time shows that a significant proportion of patients were not necessarily hospitalized due to the corona.

Official MOH response

While the health care system is making a tremendous effort to maintain public health and save lives, vociferous factors are emerging, including physicians, who are producing irresponsible discourse aimed at eroding public trust.

Also in the fight against the omicron strain, the Ministry of Health practices professionalism and discretion in order to maintain public health, alongside maintaining the economy, education, culture and as much as possible a routine of life alongside the corona.

Prof. Matot's proposal not to verify a large proportion of those infected and thus to allow a faster and more widespread spread of the disease, is not acceptable to the Ministry of Health. The policy proposed by Prof. Matot could lead to severe harm to at-risk groups, an increase in the number of critically ill patients and mortality.

Unfortunately, Prof. Matot's conduct, and the language in which she chose to express her criticism, raises concerns that lust for publicity sometimes outweighs responsibility.

In addition, it should be noted that the use of the official page of a government hospital in favor of expressing a personal position - is illegal and prohibited.

The health care system in Israel is working tirelessly against the wave of serious illness, with discretion and responsibility, in an effort to maintain public health and economic activity. Those who do not want to help - do not interfere.

So 49.6% of ‘covid’ patients in these hospitals were admitted for non-covid reasons. It’s very refreshing to see a news report where just the data are reported without an attempt to spin it.

Yaya, do you know what % of Israeli hospitals and/or hospitalized Israeli ‘Covid’ patients this represents?

I never got one Nature paper. I was cheated of one, though!

Early in my post doc career, i was the first person to detect nitric oxide (NO) in the exhaled breath condensate of three mammalian species, with another young post doc who was smart with mass spectrometry. We cooked up a chemical “trap” which covalently captured NO & yielded a stable product with an m/z that was clear of biological junk.

I didn’t do much thinking tbh but I did enough.

By the time the paper was submitted I’d got demoted to a technical mention.

That paper was cited hundreds of times.

I’m not bitter now & I wasn’t then.

I don’t easily bear grudges, the most useless of human emotions!

Still, I’m sorry to hear you got rooked out of a Nature paper. I guess you saw how the system worked early in your professional career. It encouraging to see that instead of learning to conform, you chose your own path.

If and when the hit piece on Prof. Quimron comes out, I wonder if it will include the but-look-he’s-LAST-author-on-most-of-his-pubs smear like they did with Judy Mikovits? I think I sustained minor injuries from rolling on the floor laughing so hard when I heard Judy mention that in an interview.

This kind of smear tactic is a good indication of how low those committed to protecting the narrative are willing to stoop. The narrative protectors know that few people outside of scientific research understand that ‘last author’ is a highly valued ‘position’ in the author line-up of a research paper. And why would they know such a trivial and, frankly, somewhat embarrassing little factoid that outside of these bizarre times would be totally irrelevant to them? (Embarrassing because academics and other researchers fight and squabble over such on a regular basis…) So most people don’t know that being ‘last author’ indicates that you led the research, that is, you were the brains of the operation. In fact, for researchers past their early-career phase, ‘last author’ is more prized than being 1st author. This is the technically-true-but-purposely-misleading trick used in advertising all of the time. You know, like the bright orange little "NO CARBS" sticker on that package of corned beef in the grocery store (apologies to meat-avoiding readers. I’m not trying to offend anyone. It’s just that this particular example sticks in my mind because it actually "worked" on someone I know). But as Steve and many others have pointed out many times, this is the kind of stuff you gotta do when you don’t have facts…

So all of you fellow readers who make their living in other ways, you are now FULLY INOCULATED against this particular strain of smear-virus (sorry about the lack of informed consent, but that’s the trend nowadays). Nope, no boosters needed unless maybe you end up in some kind of Matt-Damon-Bourne-Identity-amnesia kind of scenario. In rare cases like that, yes, a booster may be necessary. But, I’m sure it will be covered by your CIA-NSA-even-the-agency-name-is-classified group health plan. [que Extreme Ways by Moby] 🙂

I should probably point out for the sake of the general audience that although my comment above does indeed contain some humor (or at least my attempt at it), my point that Judy Mikovits discusses in a video interview that she was the recipient of a last-author smear was completely serious (although I can’t seem to put my hands on the source video at the moment…Judy has a LOT of interview videos!) If someone else recognizes this and could supply a web link, that would be great. The other thing I recall from this particular video is that her lawyer pops in for a second and attests to the fact that no formal charges were ever levied against her when she was arrested and jailed by the FBI for… well…apparently nothing.

Also, I was being completely serious in my description of the last-author position in the context of academic/scientific career progression.

And just one more thing. I have three comments here in succession. All three address very serious topics, but in different manners with different literary tones. So to avoid any misunderstandings:

- The "this is one brave professor" comment is just straightforward "reporting". No sarcasm, not even in the final question (which is a very sad commentary on the current state of affairs…).

- I’ve already explained in this sub-comment that the "last-author" smear tactic comment is a mix of fact and humor.

- The "MSM Universal Translator" comment is…well…I’ll leave that one for the individual reader to figure out. A few hints. 1) please read the whole comment and 2) the definitive key to determining the tone of the comment is the final emoji.

Now that this article has slipped into the ‘old news category’ (as least by Steve’s standards…this article is now 9 down on this Substack and it was posted yesterday!) I’d like to ask for a little help from everybody on something (I waited a bit because this post is rather long and I didn’t want to tie up ‘rush hour traffic’). Anyhow, I have a small grant* for a software tool that I’m calling the ‘MSM Universal Translator’. The goal is to input any sort of information and generate standardized output suitable for MSM use. Apparently, this is now done by hand, which is both time consuming and prone to human error. As we all know, the MSM places heavy emphasis on quelling the spread of misinformation outside of their channels, and it seems they want to prevent such from being generated internally as well.

I just got my development code up and running and Prof. Quimron’s letter provides a perfect opportunity for code validation because it was originally written in Hebrew. I’ve found that using multilingual input increases output accuracy by preventing subtle nuances of meaning from being ‘lost in translation’.

So here’s where I need the help. I stopped following MSM news months ago. (I just couldn’t take it anymore. I quit cold turkey and deleted Apple News from all of my devices so I couldn’t go back.) Anyhow, I’m no longer in a good position to evaluate the real-world performance of my software program. I was wondering if a few of you who can still muscle their way past the gag reflex and follow MSM news could take a look at my preliminary results and give me some feedback (apologies to Ratatouille)?

Below are the input and output data for 4 separate runs. The input data are the first three paragraphs of Prof. Quimron’s letter followed by a control sample consisting of text that most people would consider to be ideologically neutral. The latter is intended to give an indication of whether or not the algorithm is unintentionally introducing any ideological bias. The output of the control dataset puzzled me at first, but upon reflection, I think the algorithm is working properly. However, it’s always better to have someone without a vested interest involved in product validation, just like they do in the pharmaceutical industry. 🙂

Input/output format:

Input text in English in sentence case

Dataset 1:

In the end, the truth will always be revealed, and the truth about the coronavirus policy is beginning to be revealed. When the destructive concepts collapse one by one, there is nothing left but to tell the experts who led the management of the pandemic – we told you so.

Dataset 2:

Two years late, you finally realize that a respiratory virus cannot be defeated and that any such attempt is doomed to fail. You do not admit it, because you have admitted almost no mistake in the last two years, but in retrospect it is clear that you have failed miserably in almost all of your actions, and even the media is already having a hard time covering your shame.

Dataset 3:

You refused to admit that the infection comes in waves that fade by themselves, despite years of observations and scientific knowledge. You insisted on attributing every decline of a wave solely to your actions, and so through false propaganda “you overcame the plague.” And again you defeated it, and again and again and again.

Dataset 4 [control]:

Mary had a little lamb it’s fleece was white as snow

And every where that Mary went the lamb was sure to go.

למרי היה כבש קטן שגיזה שלו הייתה לבנה כשלג

ולכל מקום שמרי הלכה הכבשה בטוח ילך.
