That's just how it seems to be, Metta. I tried Carnivore for 3 months several years ago and didn't really see a difference either.

But I'm currently reading Judy Cho's Carnivore Cure...made me want to give it another try, for a longer duration, since nothing else seems to be working. Her version also serves as an elimination diet, which would be helpful since I think I've developed even more food sensitivities then before.

I wish I could fast, but it's never worked for me, since teenagehood. Maybe related to the hypoglycemia I developed by age 14? However, I wasn't diagnosed with metabolic syndrome (pre-T2-diabetes) until I was in my mid 30s. At any rate, by the second week I start getting very, very sick and can't continue. This happens whether I do intermittent or total fasting.

Everyone has to find what works best for them, glad you've found your way of eating for health. Hope I do too.

Thanks again, Robren72. Glad to know the additional background. Sounds like we've had some similar health challenges. I've been hypoglycemic since high school too, so I know it creates some additional complications.

Good to know you've had some experience with carnivore already, and you're right: the food elimination benefits of carnivore are HUGE! Hope this finally does the trick for you! :-D

[ In case you're interested, what has helped me with fasting is drinking plenty of water, taking plenty of fiber & probiotics alternated with trace minerals several times a day (to minimize the detox symptoms) and having a small taste of natural, non-iodized salt throughout the day to keep my electrolytes balanced. (Helps immensely with hunger, faintness and fatigue.) ]
