Using the suffering of others as a manipulative business tactic has lessened my respect for you, which I am greatly sad about. It also puts you with the very people you rally against and as such deserves your own long and reflective reconsideration.
I feel the same. Steve has interesting info and has show courage, but when his call to action to stop discrimination is to donate/subscribe/share this newsletter, it seems self-serving. Maybe instead offer up three tips totally unrelated to this newsletter (i.e. throw a birthday party, befriend a stranger, etc), from those useful tips, subscriptions would flow organically.

Great ideas. Also, he could have stipulated free subscriptions, which I would honor. Nevertheless, Steve offers informed and urgent content.
Many people cannot do what Steve does, for many different reasons, but are happy to help, trust that he uses it wisely.
