Dar as someone that held a TS clearance (graduated the class before PFC Manning) and read Wesley Clarck's book 'Waging Modern War' I can tell you the Pentagon has contingency plans for invading just about every country of interest. Its their standard operating procedure. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill.

This is Stange. There is no such thing as a general TS clearance. It's all over tv but has no meaning in the real military. In reality security clearances are compartmentalized. They are based on specific areas There no such thing as a general top-secret clearance.
Richard. Army Intelligence. Again, I graduated in the class before PFC Manning. They did a ten year background check on me. I held it for 4 years active duty and it was renewed for additional 4 years for calling me back if needed. While in the army, I also ran two marathons one in San Antonio and one in Baghdad, Iraq. Also ran the Batton Memorial Death March - that is running the distance of a marathon with a 40lb backpack at White Sands Missile Range.
