That morning was the last time I saw my son. He was never the same and still isn’t. He can’t communicate by speaking but he does type. He wasn’t given a proper education. He was treated like he was stupid because he couldn’t speak and couldn’t always control his body. The opposite is true. He’s brilliant! So much smarter than those making fun of him. He was locked inside until he learned the spelling method. He relates it to being in a prison cell.
There is no amount of money or prison sentence that can give you back your child and the life that was stolen from them and their families. I pray going forward that this never happens to another child.
