The people who are wedded to the narrative about the shots/blind trust in medical establishment etc may as well be in a cult. I learned about cults firsthand after discovering a "mom and pop" cult in Belmont MA. The people who were caught up in it, they wedded, divorced, had children, *gave up* children to other couples, at the whim of the cult leaders. This cult existed in an academically rich metropolis, and all its members were well educated and supposedly sophisticated. Nonetheless, they fell into it for unfathomable reasons.
What I learned about cults and how people get out: the world outside the cult still has to offer love. Eventually these people will come to see what they did, to themselves and their children, and *that* will be their punishment, and it will be wrenching. I can sense the cognitive dissonance beginning to break for a family member and it is as terrifying for him as sensing an inescapable earthquake. It isn't just that the shots are bad and they were foolish to believe. It's waking up to an entire rotten system: adademia, the medical and research system, the military (Pfizer is officially a defense contractor), the corporatons, the government at state and federal levels, *the neighbors*, ffs. and it's worldwide. For those of us who woke up early, that is our tremendous blessing. Each person who learns the hard way is a potential soldier in our army. "So very sorry this happened to you; now that the smoke has cleared, would you care to join the fight?" Our challenge is not to be furious with them for their supidity, their need to be liked, their cowardice, their misplaced trust, their refusal to consider facts. We don't have time for that. All our effort has to be spent defeating the dragons.
