Can’t you sue for not allowing medical exemptions? If the doctor determines that your child will be harmed by a vaccine and yet the school still discriminates against them that is a violation of the Civil Rights Act regarding persons with disabilities. For that matter the ban on religious exemptions should also be challenged in court. It’s bad enough that they allow religious but not personal belief exemptions in universities, that’s discrimination against atheists and people who use science instead of religious dogma to determine their personal beliefs. If there is no measles or polio outbreak in the area then there is no compelling reason to restrict this Constitutional right.
I’d prefer that vaccines aren’t mandated at all and instead that noninvasive, quick and convenient tests for all those diseases be developed and required for unvaccinated children. Maybe all the parents would choose those instead of vaccines.
I seriously doubt the healthy people of California are going to start lining up to be tested for a variety of diseases. My hope at this point is that people will do adequate research on the most pertinent issues today to be sure they vote for a candidate they fully believe in. At this point in time our current politicians running this state could not care less about constitutional rights, violation of civil rights, or discrimination. It is up to the people to fight like hell to retain what rights we still have and fight like hell for those that have been taken from us. There is a reason major corporations as well as many many families have fled this state. There are major bills coming up this week that if passed you will see even more of an exodus. Please do some research!
I looked up the rate of measles in the US. It shot up in 2019, went way down in 2020, and is still below usual in 2021 and 2022. Certainly the population is less vaccinated as a whole against measles than it was in 2019 though. Proof that quarantining prevents diseases better than vaccines?
And I thought the policies here were good for corporations? At least for Hollywood, but they can’t really leave so easily now can they? Other than that the agriculture industry is suffering because there’s a drought which is probably caused more by poor farming practices than by climate change but corporations use climate change as an excuse not to accept any particular culpability in environmental issues they’ve caused.
And all the homeless people who I imagine come here because there are no support programs for them in other states or the weather is too bad to live homelessly. Some states even buy bus tickets for their homeless just to send them here so they don’t have to deal with them.
