It's a massive scandal from the CDC and Shimubukuro especially. This data should be released to an independent entity immediately so that we can analyse it free from the propaganda and spin. In the meantime the various OBGYN entities and Viki Male (who is a flow cytometrist with zero expertise in pregnancy) is used to propagate circular fallacies on safety.
If it's that safe the CDC would have no hesitation in releasing the data to public scrutiny - today. And that release should not have any steps to "verify the authenticity of the request" aka "here's the data but we know your name and institution and we are going to threaten you if you step out of line".
