I'm a PhD materials scientist who is familiar with the work of the late Royal Raymond Rife who developed a microscope (now in the Smithsonian, allegedly) which could "see" down to the level of viruses. He determined through hundreds of replications that there was a virus underlying sarcomas and carcinomas (this was back in the early 1930's). He then used a tuned radio frequency signal to penetrate the body and deliver a frequency that he found specifically hit the resonance frequency of the cell membrane of the virus, thereby bursting it and causing the virus - or, technically "viron" - to die. Doing so, in short treatments (on the order of seconds) daily, he was successful at curing otherwise terminal cancer cases. The reason for the short treatments was to allow the body to remove the dead viral debris in between treatments. His "Rife Machine" was launched into the medical world where a number of physicians began to use it successfully. However, the head of the AMA at the time, Dr. Morris Fishbein, who had never practiced medicine a day in his life, wanted 50% ownership of Rife's company. When Rife refused, Fishbein set out to destroy him -- and he did. Nevertheless. the discoveries of Rife have significant bearing on the present discussion regarding the existence of viruses. His historically documented findings appear to validate the existence of viruses and his sophisticated optical microscope did not destroy the viruses the way a modern day electron microscope would. Hope this is helpful information - if nothing else, provides broader perspective on the matter.
