When vaccines were initially made available Stanford was the only institution I'm aware of that got the distribution algorithm correct: elderly and immunocompromised are first priority. However, they bent to the complaints of a few irrationally fearful resident physicians who wanted the vaccine first instead. This demonstrates both the pliability of the institution and the ignorance of its physicians who, being constantly exposed, most certainly already had natural immunity.
