To correct the record, the paper in my original post is actually a different paper that was reported in a current Nepetalactone Newsletter article https://anandamide.substack.com/p/censorious-cureus.

My mistake.

Unlike the paper in Mr.Kirsch's article, the web page was actually taken down: https://zenodo.org/records/14847943

But someone else also archived it before it was: https://web.archive.org/web/20250212180255/https://zenodo.org/records/14847943

This paper is more horrific because it shows a shows a statistical significance of the excess mortality of cancer deaths in Japan since 2021.

Here in Canada, I know first or second hand at least a dozen people who are dead or dying of cancer since 2021. But I do not know anybody who died from COVID.

It is also horrible that a paper written by five highly-credentialed experts can capriciously be pulled (censored) using a flimsy pretext of insufficient data.

Sorry for the confusion.

This is reminiscent of this paper I spotted in January 2020: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.01.30.927871v2

It was "withdrawn" after a raucous debate in the comment section of this webpage (which has been removed). One side of the debate consisted of ad hominem attacks against the authors and one of the authors commented that they were considering withdrawing the paper and "going back to look at their data". I confirmed that the genome of the COVID virus was the recognised one from a Chinese paper at that time so they didn't appear to have a data issue.

So the PDF file was removed but mysteriously reappeared, with a "withdrawn" watermark, after 2021. Hmm.
