That's the message ABIM is sending to physicians by revoking the board certifications of Doctors Marik and Kory. "Follow the consensus, not the science." It's about compliance, not saving lives.
One point I want to note here is that only their Board Certifications were taken, not their medical license. This essentially makes it almost impossible for them to work in the system (e.g., at a hospital or teach at a medical school) but does not affect their ability to have a private practice.
In Paul Marik's case, he had a special license most people don't have so losing the board certification was devastating for him, whereas in Dr. Kory's case, he has a standard licenese and never wants to work in the system again (which is a shame because he saved a lot of lives as a top ICU doctor), so it's more of a badge of honor than anything else that ABIM cancelled him.
Beyond that, the ABIM is actually incredibly corrupt and many physicians have accused them of extorting them (to the point news organizations such as Newsweek in 2015 have investigated their conduct before). Did you read Fred Jabronski's comment below about the 5th Circuit and the AAPS lawsuit (against the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and the American Board of Family Medicine per the comment)? I am not a lawyer but it seems to me that you would have standing to sue the Board either as a member of AAPS or as an individual practicing physician. Until these groups start feeling some serious pain (as in paying out large settlements and judgments), they will not stop.
I am in contact with the AAPS. Nice folks, I'll add. I am not willing to spend money or much life force on this, but I am ready to be part of a suit, and they like the venue which my location would provide. I would do this as a matter of service, but it would be limited to what would be practical.
The problem is that any suit is against the organisation, not the corrupted individuals.
There is no likely consequence to Board members, the insurance company picks up the tab, and the "winners" feel better, but are out of practice. I am sorry for what your Oncologist may have gone through. I highly suspect that the wife of the Medical Director of the clinic where I served developed vaccine-Lupus. I heard that he stepped down after I was fired. He's a good guy, but... I have never regretted my choice, which was made on the principle of standing-with-the-"untermenschen". The bad side effects were not yet so apparent.

I've had only two vaccines in my life, the smallpox vaccine and the Sabin live attenuated oral polio vaccine (I don't recall if I got the Salk polio vaccine before that). Never had a flu shot or any other vaccine, and never had the flu that I can recall.

On August 1 YouTube removed this video--they had previously removed a video talking about vaccines causing myocarditis in young people for the usual reasons--community guidelines, misinformation etc. This may have been related to the actions against Kory and Marik, because these doctors in the video probably talked about ivermectin, although frankly I'm surprised they left it up for four almost years. It seemed at first they were taking more things down, then they seemed to be more tolerant, but now it appears they're going back to the censorship.

I've had only two vaccines in my life, the smallpox vaccine and the Sabin live attenuated oral polio vaccine (I don't recall if I got the Salk polio vaccine before that). Never had a flu shot or any other vaccine, and never had the flu that I can recall.
The first lie to allow EUA (emergency use authorization of experimental products), was that TINA (There is no alternative), which there clearly was, and which alternatives like ivermectin-based treatment improved symptoms overnight in most people, such as my patients and myself.

If our medical system will do this, they will stop at nothing to keep the truth from coming out, including let people suffer and die needlessly, which of course they've done. Science means arguing the case on its merits, and arguing on the merits is exactly what they are trying to avoid by calling anyone who disagrees with them, “anti-science”.

On August 1 YouTube removed this video--they had previously removed a video talking about vaccines causing myocarditis in young people for the usual reasons--community guidelines, misinformation etc. This may have been related to the actions against Kory and Marik, because these doctors in the video probably talked about ivermectin, although frankly I'm surprised they left it up for four almost years. It seemed at first they were taking more things down, then they seemed to be more tolerant, but now it appears they're going back to the censorship.
