Why are vaccinations required to attend school?

My local newspaper says that if kids don't have the required vaccines (or a medical exemption), they are not allowed to attend school. Can ANYONE explain the logic here?

I have some questions I was hoping someone could answer:

1. If the vaccines work and protect kids from disease, why isn’t an individual decision as to whether or not to get them?

2. If the vaccines don’t work, why are they required?

3. Will any health/medical authority in the country be willing to go on camera with me and defend the California law? If you are, please let me know here. If not, isn’t that telling?

4. How come doctors refuse to allow parents to see the all-cause risk-benefit studies for the required vaccines that compares kids with all the required vaccines with kids who have none of the vaccines over time and looks at both morbidity (such as autism rates, etc) and long-term mortality? Obviously, these studies must exist or they wouldn’t have required these vaccines. Where are they and why are we not allowed to see them?

5. Have any of the lawmakers who voted for this ever read Dissolving Illusions by Suzanne Humphries MD (Author), Roman Bystrianyk? Did the book make a mistake?

6. How come the statistics from the control group are better than those from the vaccinated group?

7. If the reason to vax kids is to protect those kids in school who cannot be vaccinated (medical exemption cases), then where is the study showing the overall societal risk benefit of injecting 99% of kids (who will have a negative risk benefit), to protect these at risk kids? Nobody seems to have that study. How does society ethically trade off morbidity in vaxxed kids for a morality benefit in the unvaxed?

Basically, Dee M is looking to gaslight me and use ad hominem attacks rather than show me the scientific data. Even though this is her field, she’s unable to come up with a single paper showing an all-cause benefit for any vaccine.

This is exactly what Andrew Wakefield told me: there is simply no data to support their beliefs. They are taught in medical school that that vaccines are safe and nobody ever questions whether that assertion is actually supported by the proper studies: it is taken as gospel. When you challenge the “experts” to show you the data, they stop talking to you and run for the exit doors. This happens every time.

And the next thread is also instructive… as soon as they realize they can’t provide any study showing the all-cause benefit, they suddenly decide to stop responding:

So the burden is on me to write a paper to prove the medical community is right? This is the same person who said earlier I can’t understand any papers on the subject.

There is no need for me to write a paper; there is plenty out there already (see the next section).

Another person who disagreed with me wouldn’t talk to me either. She said we should vaccinate kids in school to protect kids who cannot be vaccinated from infection (societal benefit). This is why I asked her why we don’t require vaccination for home schooled kids since those kids could interact with other kids in the neighborhood. She told me to take a hike. That’s the way science works, I guess.

Finally, this comment is relevant:

Bottom line: Andrew Wakefield was right! And you can see now why nobody wants to debate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He’s been trying for 20 years now. No takers.
