I believe the statins seriously contribute to dementia and memory loss. I had numerous discussions with her doctor about the statins and the memory loss & dementia. He would always say...”she takes such a low dose”...Really but for 25 years? I finally told him she was no longer going to take them the last year of her life. The CHF I see as a result of her age. Her mother, my grandmother, peacefully died in her sleep when she was 93, back in 2003. She was diagnosed with CHF two months before she passed. She did not take statins, nor did she have memory issues. She couldn’t hear very well nor could my Mom, as she got older.
