Hey Steve... Amazing work you're doing.

I thought that I should mention to you - if I haven't before - that amongst the LA County Lifeguards (part of the County Fire Department, technically) there was a massive and statistically significant jump in heart attacks over the past Summer. From a comparatively small population universe, there were at least 14 heart attacks - and all within 2 weeks of receiving a Covid shot.

Allow me to say, that while firefighters are also in great shape, and tend to be young and healthy, too...NOBODY is more fit than Ocean Lifeguards... Except for maybe Triathletes...and there's plenty of Ocean Lifeguards who do those, too - for fun, in their spare time. Run-Swim-Runs are some of the most grueling sorts of training around. I can testify to this personally, having passed the State of California's Lifeguard training class in Huntington Beach, about 25 years ago. I subsequently worked as a Lifeguard in the only Private (Ocean) Lifeguard Tower in the state - at Paradise Cove. Not only does getting and keeping the job require constant workouts... depending on where you're stationed, it can involve an immense amount of physical output, to make the high volume of rescues required at places like Zuma Beach, Venice, or Huntington... Anywhere that there's strong surf and large crowds - you're going to be running in and out of the water, multiple times a day - without even counting those required daily workouts.

And this is a very young and health conscious population, that largely watches their diet, weight and physical conditioning, very closely... And many (of the best) Lifeguards surf in their off hours. So this is a group that would almost never be expected to suffer heart attacks. But suddenly at least 14 happen, over just one Summer. I guarantee you that's never happened before. Luckily there were no deaths. But I would argue that owes largely to the high level of fitness in the group, the relative youth, and the exceptional level of medical care that they have access to, particularly when at work.

Despite the lack of deaths - all are either severely (but temporarily) disabled,or permanently disabled. None are going to be working in a truck or a tower anytime soon. One, a 31year old female, received a one-time permanent disability payout from the County, for $200k - but will never be able to continue on, in her career of choice. That's not "Mild" - nor anywhere near "Rare" enough.

And for what? Negative efficacy? Not preventing transmission? A whole host of additional potential adverse effects? Possible infertility....So I guess what I'm saying is that what ever list Sara Cody is on.... that's the same list to put Dr. Barbara Ferrer (not a real Dr.) onto. Her and the LA COUNTY Board of Supervisors - the 5 Kings as they used to be known... Nowadays I guess that they should be called the 5 Queens, unless someone has atypical pronouns, to go along with atypical Titles of Nobility.
