I have a son who has been on Fluvoxamine (100 mg 2x daily) for 5 years for OCD, (he is also autistic). I was thrilled to find out that he would be *immune* to getting covid.
He went almost two years living a normal life; working in a building at UPS with thousands of others, attending a church that had the virus come through twice, and my husband getting Delta. He never got it.
Then Omicron hit. He got it right away, and brought it home to me.
Anecdotallly, I would say Fluvoxamine worked very well with earlier strains of the virus, but have you tested its effectiveness with Omicron?
My Mech. Engineer's conclusion: Fluvoxamine is likely a reasonable low side effect treatment for the "old" Wuhan virus, but there may be nothing that can touch the new variant-- if it is one. It may be its very own virus?!
