Thanks for the reference. Unless there is another part of the paper I am not seeing, the paper states, "These reads did not cover the entire SARS-CoV-2 reference genome; however, these were sufficient for mapping the N gene."
I am looking for a paper that states they read the entire genome. Do you know of one?
Both PacBio and ONT systems can do single long reads beyond 30kbp of RNA. PacBio's SMRT doesn't require PCR amplification for long reads.
