I got something here, of relevance. It is from your link: " At the height of the pandemic, lawyers were successfully forcing hospitals to administer ivermectin to treat COVID -- despite many gold-standard, randomized, controlled trials demonstrating that it wasn't particularly useful." Wait. The word "particularly" is completely unnecessary here. Why would this person add the word "particularly," unless for some reason? The sentence works much better without it. From the standard of grammar. But apparently the speaker needed to qualify himself.
