"that puts her in a delicate position. How much can she say or do, without getting fired and cancelled? "

A DELICATE position!! Her JOB is to PROTECT the pilots, so THEY can protect the passengers!! (Do you not see a difference between "fired and cancelled" and many people DEAD in a plane crash SHE WAS HIRED TO PREVENT?!)

If you are on a plane and your LIFE depends on a pilot forced to take a shot that might KILL HIM IN FLIGHT (proven -- already PROVEN!) you gonna feel ANY sympathy for her over her "delicate position"? How about the delicate position of the passengers and crew her "I haven't done anything" MIGHT KILL!!! And DON'T try the "well, 'flight officer... two pilots... it wouldn't necessarily crash." Did you not see some airlines are making noises about having only ONE pilot in the cockpit, because so many are out sick (or dead)?! Did you miss the flight officer talking to the ATC (it's on YouTube) where his pilot died;' and he asked for emergency clearance, which they gave him, and after he landed the plane, he told ATC that he would not be able MOVE the plane for several minutes, because he had to move the dead pilot out of the left seat. Turns out the right-hand seat does NOT allow taxiing -

- only the pilot's seat. And how about the small-plane AG flyer who SOMEHOW managed to land his plane after he blacked out, and has no idea HOW he managed to land it. Vaxx-related.

But we should treat the govt official who is NOT doing her job with delicacy? Hell NO!

If she's a supporter -- and her own pilot husband REFUSED the shot -- then she had a HUMAN DUTY to speak up. "ooooh she might lose her jooooob." Are you kidding? Her refusal to stand up might have killed/yet still kill a planeload of 100+ people!

"maybe she really does need time to investigate" -- it's been nearly TWO YEARS of deaths and disabilities and coercion and force! There is no need to investigate! Her JOB is to call a halt until she is as SURE as possible that the poison-vaxx mandate is not likely to KILL a planeload.

How many MORE people are you willing to force to risk DEATH to prevent Steve being "too aggressive" with someone whose JOB means she should have been 100% ON TOP OF THIS for at least 1-3/4 YEARS! If she thinks that's too aggressive then she needs to not be in the job! And if you think it's mean to have people raising high-holy-HELL because her NOT doing her job could mean the risk of death for hundreds of thousands of passenger -- and pilots and crew and ground crew -- then you are wrong!

"ooooho her FEELINGS might be hurt!" (Is she a friend of yours, or do you think official malfeasance in an hugely important job is just fine as long as it's a woman doing it?! We just won't COUNT UP the dead?)

Do the job or get out of the kitchen!!

Hello Avalanche,

I feel your pain. Based on your argument, the right thing to do would have been to call for her resignation the day after Bob Snow's heart attack, if not sooner.

All I'm saying is that there's no reason to risk alienating a potential ally with over-the-top rhetoric. Maybe the damage is done already, but maybe Steve could send a followup email.

I appreciate that Steve pinned Paul's message. I hope this means that Steve is looking for feedback from the community. As of this writing, Paul's message has the most likes of any in the comment section.

If she were a potential ally, why has she done nothing so far? I don't excuse people who are tasked with VITAL work, who ... eh, just didn't get around to it. Her pilot HUSBAND refused the shot. She has the JOB and did nothing -- didn't say anything, didn't stand up -- didn't quit! When he refused -- she should have IMMEDIATELY turned her attention to that. (One ASSUMES she respects her husband at least somewhat...)+

She SAID she knew about Pilot Snow -- and has done nothing. And, as Steve wrote -- he didn't even know we HAD such a position as "Federal Flight Surgeon! Neither did I. But nothing excuses her non-action. Nothing excuses the carelessness about pilots' lives -- and passengers' lives!

"Risk alienating her"!?!? I'd like to 'risk her' being jailed for malfeasance!
