Is this moron an elected officer? I doubt it. Is that job of hers one that requires election by the people or is she appointed? Is that punishment a real law? My library director thought she herself had made a law to punish me and keep me out of a taxpayer funded building in 2021. It was not lawful--I pointed out to her but didn’t matter.
And the swings and slides removed by the small city I live in—the whole city. Schools too and local parks. who did that? Our Mayor? they were off over a year and a half. I finally called the city and complained.
My grandparents lived in Chicago and complained of the corruption in their city elections. They have been dead for decades so nothing is new about fraudulent elections.
Four decades ago I lived in Chicago for grad school. Municipal corruption was a spectator sport, so in-your-face it was. Mayor Daly’s legacy was alive and well. Under mayor Bilandic a court order for a shipload of documents was issued. The driver stopped for breakfast and OMG the station wagon loaded with boxes was STOLEN! What bad luck! Why has no one made a movie? Even so, I loved Chicago, lousy weather and all. A bike ride along the lake was pretty safe at the time. It may not be so endearing now.

With all due respect, just because it’s not new doesn’t mean it should continue. It’s long past time to work on measures to stop it.
