I don't know how far you got in the Smithsonian but even though there will be things you disagree with, the history, which I promise you is accurate, is fascinating. The article you suggested from MicrobiologyReseach.org has a link to the full PDF paper:

Read the first few sentences of the Introduction. See what you think.

That is the exact same article I referred to in my link directly above. This conversation is about worn out. I would like to end it with a completely new subject that you may find interesting. It seems to be happening in the world right now. Check this out: IN THE BIBLE, Ezekiel 38,39. God states that Gog will come down from the north. God says to Gog "When the time comes you will start thinking up an evil plan. You will decide to invade a helpless country where the people live in peace and security in unwalled towns that have no defenses". A number of paragraphs later God states that when Gog reaches Israel He is going to destroy him. God says that on that day there will be a sever earthquake in Israel. He says "every fish and bird, every animal large and small and every human being on the face of the earth will tremble for fear of me. Mountains will fall, cliffs will crumble and every wall will collapse". A little farther on God says "The corpses will be buried in Travelers Valley, east of the Dead Sea and it will take the Israelites 7 months to do it". Mindblowing prophecy! To me this sounds like Putin. It's like a sci-fi movie coming true. There is a website called ChristianEvidence.net that even wrote an article asking if Putin could be Gog. I got the text from "The Good News Bible, Today's English Version", Old Testament, copyright 1976. You can read this exact same Bible (Good News Bible and about 40 other translations)) online at BibleStudyTools.com.

Go back to the link. A little below the title and authors and above the word "Abstract" look a little to the right and you will see a red PDF icon. Click on it and it will take you to the full article. Once there, go to the "Introduction", which is a little below the "Abstract". The first few sentences of the Introduction will tell you that the bacteriophage is a virus. Thank you for sharing the above links.
