I agree that in some cases like yours, long ‘covid’ is fair dinkum, and congratulate you on searching for answers.

I had EBV in 1977 and over the years had fatigue and brain fog to varying degrees. I was able to manage and in those days with absolutely no help from conventional medicine. Over the past 20 yrs, I’ve got on top of it slowly and with all the info around now, I’m feeling better than ever ( also retired so less stress)!

I took Ivermectin when I got a bit sick in late 2022 and was better in 2 days but found a bit more fatigue afterwards 🥲! Most recently, I’m trying nicotine(2mg gum/day) and am finding increased energy. - see how that goes in the longer term.

I’m always on the lookout for ideas.
