I’ve gone through the same journey. Tried to convince my parents not to get vaccinated. They’re in their 80s and they’re quadruple Vaxxed. I’m so thankful that my wife and two teenagers decided not to get vaxed. No easy decision in Canada. So the four of us are an island surrounded by friends and family, who are vaxed. I have given up trying to convince anyone and just nod my head when they tell me they’ve been boosted. They’ve made their choice and I’ve made mine and nothing I say will change that. I am at peace with it, which is much easier because my immediate family are unvaccinated. I feel for those were families have been divided with one parent vaxed and the other not or some kids vaxed and others not. I think there’s a new world emerging, and some of us will be here for it and some of us won’t.
Hi Dave, I have really felt for those of you in Canada who chose not to get vaxxed. The measures of coersion put in place by that terrorist who runs your country and his constant gaslighting of the unvaxxed is pure evil. So I have deep respect for those of you who have held your ground and retained your bodilly autonomy throughout it all. And yes, I agree, the division in some families is hearbreaking. My brother refuses to discuss Covid with me because I mentioned that 'horse dewormer' :). I don't take it personally though, as it only shows me what a completely willing victim he is to the propoganda. Thankfully though, my husband and I are both unvaxxed and have the same awareness of what is going on. And thankfully we also have a few friends who are on the same page.
