My sister's boyfriend had a mysterious heart attack about a year ago, I didn't connect till much later the fact they are ardent vaccine believers.

I was curious as to why the majority of people don't care about all these sudden deaths, etc.

Then it dawned on me: we're the oddballs.

People go to work, often physically taxing and repetitive work with little meaning, and then they return home at night, utterly exhausted. Most of them are unable to read scientific journals, even if they want to. The TV is discussing whether Kim Kardashian will reconcile with Kanye while also investigating the reasons behind her recent abrupt breakup with her new boyfriend of nine months.

No one is compiling or even looking at the data that are pouring out of every available "orifice".

They are fine as long as they have plenty of carbs, the remote in one hand, and an iPad to browse.

Their brains are fried. There's zero reason for them to care about anything at this point. It's not as if they receive a $300 bonus the following day if they look into this. They don't care if the wax spike hides for 15 months in nonclassical monocytes. Spike who? Is it a nickname for an up-and-coming wrestler, with spikey hair?

They are there, but they are not really not there. Do you get what I mean?

We are the oddballs.

We are the oddballs, still alive.
